Ijeoma and Dozie were one of our international couples coming to the United States for their destination wedding. Since they were not that familiar with the area, they relied on us to help them locate the perfect venue for their wedding and to implement their wedding vision without them being present to assist with the planning. We started with the colors that Ijeoma wanted to incorporate which were turquoise and chocolate brown. We suggested that she add orange as a third color to contrast with these other two and from there, the planning took off and the wedding vision came to life.

Ijeoma and Dozie loved our suggestion of holding their ceremony on the Black Dog Tall Ship Alabama followed by a 2 hour cruise around the island. They then moved to the Mansion House in Vineyard Haven for their cocktail hour and reception. The happy couple shared their very special day with forty of their closest friends and family who joined them from around the globe.

This was an amazing wedding for us to work on because it offered us the opportunity to learn about another culture and the wedding rituals typically employed in Nigeria. While it is always difficult planning a wedding essentially by email and the occasional phone call, our couple was very pleased with the end result. That's all we can hope for and nothing pleases us more than to see the smile on everyone's face when it's all said and done.
