Rose and John are from County Clare in Ireland and they wanted to be married in Boston. They didn’t have a huge budget though which typically is a necessity if you want to be married in town. Still our goal is to always try to find a way to give our couples the dream wedding they were hoping for. A perfect solution was to have them get married at Piers Park with an absolutely stunning view of downtown Boston in the background. With several guests joining them from overseas who weren’t familiar with Boston, it made sense to have them stay at the four diamond Hilton Boston Logan Hotel and for John and Rose to host their reception at this lovely property. It’s an amazing location for weddings and if you’re on a budget, you cannot beat this location. Maureen and her team at the Hilton Boston Logan are second to none, the guest rooms are amazing (and no you cannot hear the planes), and the food is easily some of the best we’ve ever enjoyed at a wedding. On the wedding day, the forecast called not just for rain, but for thunderstorms at exactly the time the ceremony was scheduled. We were on pins and needles and not at all hopeful because it had been raining for a week. The one thing Rose wanted more than anything else however, was to be married in an outdoor ceremony and I think every good Irish person in Boston was praying for a sliver of good weather for this couple. Both Rose’s Mom and John’s Dad have passed away and I can only attribute the change in weather to their divine intervention, because as we sent Rose off in the limo to Piers Park, the sun broke through the clouds and we had some of the best weather we’ve enjoyed in Boston to date during their ceremony. I have to admit to tearing up as I sent her on her way with her sisters and father Peader. Thanks to Meridith at Printworks for the beautiful table names and menus, Noel McKinnon of Special Event Beauty for making Rose and the girls look smashing, Justice of the Peace Mike Backer for the deeply moving Anam Cara ceremony, Declan and the Devri Band for the great Irish music during the cocktail hour and reception, Konditor Meister for the gorgeous cake, Ben and Webb Transportation for the stellar transportation, Molly Shea of Eventually by Molly for the beautiful flowers, and Dan Busler of Dan Busler Photography for the wonderful photos that we can now share with you. John and Rose are going to be lifelong friends to all of us and we can’t thank them enough for letting us all play a role in their stunning wedding. Please enjoy Dan’s photos and feel free to visit him at www.DanBuslerPhotography.com.
